Hey...Today blogging just for fun because there's nothing much to do...
Today was like any other routine day...Tutorial..went to the mosque to pray..actually wanted to play badminton but the courts were fully booked..so I stayed home and played my PS2 and computer...as I've said completely routine.Today I'll be giving study tips.Don't get me wrong...I'm not trying to be arrogant...However I want to help and also i just love writing!!

STUDY TIPS

I remembered once in Sec 2 Min Yi asked me:How did you get good results? or something along that line...I just shrugged her off.....but now I am going to answer that question
WARNING...this might not work on everyone but it surely worked for me and I'm still sane
Hard work and preservation are the key for me...unlike Adam Khoo's idea of study techniques being the crucial factor in obtaining success in an academic level...Mind maps...speed reading...I think all of it is crap!!!I've tried and tested it and trust me,it does'nt work
My timetable to me is pure torture...For my Mid-Year exam for 1 whole month before the exam...I study from 7pm to 2am on weekdays(for days I go home at 6pm)and at weekends 9am to 3am....well?what do I say?!I nearly lost my sanity!!But still it yielded results and its for a good cause...How do I stay away from the inevitable stess that comes along with the long monotonous, hours of studying...well you can't...In fact, nobody can. However I find solace in the days not approaching exams...like now...where I play 100% and don't study at all!
Now let me go into the deep details...subject by subject

English:Well to be frank...I don't study English...at all!!!Well you actually need to read a lot.....newspapers...books..I know thats what everyone says...But I do read a lot english books...I read Dan Brown books(Da Vinci Code,Angels and Demons),Jodi Piccoult(My sister's Keeper) and Harry Potter books...
It works..

E Maths and A Maths:These two subjects are all about one word:practice.Practice is absolutely essential..Practice from Ten Year Series...and if u don't get the correct answer...ASK!the teacher or anybody else....So u must know how to do every single question in the ten year series!!that way an A1 is almost guaranteed....And another important thing...u must listen to the lessons...this will give u a head start...

Science:science is all about understanding and a bit of memorizing...Firstly understand the topics and then u must make notes, memorize relevant information....and then..Practice!!from ten year series or any assessment books...U must be exposed to as many questions as possible...and make sure u knoewthe correct answers to the questions...THIS is important!

MT:Two words:Don't Know

Humanities:Firstly for social studies....It is important that you know how to do source based questions....practice doing it and master it....and then it is a game of memorize....for history, geography too!!!Memorize is important...But more importantly is the notes itself...u can get the notes from me though...I lend my SS notes and geog notes to Johan and he got 22/25 for the part for memorize!!

Hope I didn't miss anything...However for this to work u must give 110% into your work and don't get distracted....and finally remember that what u do this year detremines wad u do for the rest of ur life!!!So I wish all the best for my fellow 4E1 classmates.....BYE!
